The Final Chapter of the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

The Final Chapter of the Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

The much-awaited and thrilling latest addition into the Star Wars series is only a few days away from landing in the cinemas. When the production of the film started in August last year, fans were too happy with the news another adventurous film is on its way to let them kill the boredom and be the witness to the latest part of the never-ending Star Wars series.

According to the speculations, The Rise of Skywalker would bring up another force into action which is capable of making advancement in the intergalactic regions. While things haven’t been clear yet regarding the plot, J.J. Abrams, the mastermind behind the film, sheds light on their policy of continuation of the previous elements in the film.

The Rise of Skywalker

He told Vanityfair, ” It was really important that we not just redo the things you’ve seen, but add new elements—which we knew will infuriate some people and thrill others ”. Abrams’ words indicate the production unit followed the policy of adding new elements into the film in order to give new reasons to the fans to rush to cinema due to curiosity.

The director further said, ” Among those things are not just new ways of doing sort of traditional, must-have sequences, whether it’s chases or lightsaber battles, or what have you. We wanted to make sure that this picture also showed aspects of the Force in ways that go beyond what you’ve seen before ”.

Now as he keeps on talking about the particular Force, I can’t exclude the possibility of some more battles in the upcoming thriller. However, as Abrams mentioned, this time it could be a whole new story for the Star Wars fans with something extraordinary that has not happened in a Star Wars movie ever before.

Unsure whether or not Abrams’ words are exactly what would be shown in the film, the way he has explained a bit about the latest project, it would be enough to attract the already-curious audience to book their tickets and invade the nearby cinema on 20th of December, which is no more than a couple of weeks away.

Cast

Since The Rise of Walker is a continuation of the previous Star Wars films, many of the names in the cast aren’t entirely new. Anyways, Carrier Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamil, Naomi Ackie, Keri Russel, Adam Driver, and John Boyega are some of the lead actors who would be appearing on the big screen under the banner of Stars Wars.

Box Office Success

One might be amazed to know the film was able to sell more pre-sale tickets in the month of October than the Avengers: Endgame, which once was the record holder. No, the film is not gonna surpass Endgame in terms of the worldwide profit but the initial victory over the highest-grossing film is itself a moment of pride for the makers. Yeah, if they had given cool Leather Jackets to the characters, they could have made extra few millions in profit.

The Final Trailer Conveys a Strong Message of Violence, Resistance and Power Struggle

Since the final trailer is up on YouTube, breathtaking visuals showcasing amazing landscapes, the use of weapons and the lead characters advancing towards the evil forces means battles would be the subject of the film.

Additionally, Rey is shown to be conversing with the unknown Force who claims to be against the dark powers and be with the girl always. According to the trailer, the team of Rey, Finn and Luke Skywalker leads the Jedi and strives hard to defeat Sith, the main antagonist in the Star Wars series.

World Premiere

Home to the Hollywood industry, Los Angeles would have the privilege to host the world premiere of The Rise of Skywalker on the 16th of December with a number of celebrities from the cast expected to walk on the red carpet.

Although a bit sad there isn’t going to be any leatherwear inspiration, as a movie geek with a bit of interest in fashion, I am totally satisfied with the wardrobe choices of the characters from the Poe Dameron’s enthralling grey Wool Jacket to Finn’s sleeveless outer layer.
